Black supplementary schools movement

The Black supplementary schools movement was a grassroots initiative in Britain, led largely by African-Caribbean communities from the late 1960s onward, to provide Saturday and after-school education that countered racism in mainstream schools and promoted Black history, culture, and academic achievement.
