Felipe el Hermoso, known in English as Philip the Handsome, was a late 15th- and early 16th-century Habsburg ruler who became Duke of Burgundy and, through his marriage to Joanna of Castile, the first Habsburg King of Castile and a key figure in the rise of Habsburg power in Europe.
